SICCI is governed by a Board of Directors elected by our members. These experienced business leaders represent diverse sectors of the Solomon Islands economy and guide our strategic direction.
The SICCI Board meets regularly to set strategic priorities, oversee the Secretariat, and ensure the Chamber effectively represents member interests. Board members serve two-year terms and are elected by members at the Annual General Meeting. Since our establishment in 1978, the Board has comprised representatives from large corporations, SMEs, and various industry sectors to ensure diverse perspectives guide our advocacy and service delivery.
Telecommunications Sector
The Chairman provides strategic direction for SICCI and represents the Chamber at the highest levels of government, regional forums, and international meetings. Responsible for chairing Board meetings and working closely with the CEO on Chamber strategy.
Financial Services Sector
The Vice Chairman supports the Chairman in governance duties and represents SICCI when required. Brings expertise in banking and financial services to guide Chamber policy positions on economic and financial matters.
Professional Services Sector
The Treasurer oversees SICCI's financial governance, ensuring sound financial practices, transparency, and accountability. Provides expertise in accounting, audit, and financial management.
Retail & Wholesale Sector
Represents the retail and wholesale trade sector on the Board. Champions initiatives supporting local enterprises, market access, and inclusive economic growth for SMEs across Solomon Islands.
Construction & Property Sector
Represents the construction and property development sector. Passionate about infrastructure development, housing, and creating opportunities for local contractors and suppliers.
Tourism & Hospitality Sector
Represents the tourism and hospitality industry. Advocates for policies that grow the tourism sector, improve visitor infrastructure, and create employment opportunities.
Agriculture & Primary Industries
Represents the agriculture, forestry, and primary industries sector. Committed to supporting rural enterprise development and sustainable resource utilisation.
Fisheries & Marine Resources Sector
Represents the fisheries and marine resources sector. Committed to sustainable fishing practices, export market development, and supporting local fishing enterprises.
